Installation may be carried out by a single competent handy man, however, some of the pieces of stone in
the denser granites are approaching 200# in weight, so it is definitely a good idea to have a second person helping.
Skills required/Installation process:
- Locate wall studs
- Mark wall
to mount frame ensuring markings are horizontal and level (measuring, bubble/laser level)
- Drill (1/4 inch) pilot holes
for lag bolts (a large screwed bolt designed to screw into wood)
- Secure frame to wall using lag bolts
- Bolt
extra brackets to frame
- Fit flexible plastic pipework. (Push pipework over barbs and secure using hose clamps)
- Lift
top and bottom tanks into place
- Plug pumps into electrical outlet – must be a ground fault circuit interrupt
(GFCI) outlet.
- Lift stone backdrops into place and align. To align use bubble level and straight edge.
Screwed adjusters reside behind the stone slabs. This step is easier with a second person helping.
- Add water
A full and comprehensive installation manual, complete with pictures of each stage of the installation process is supplied
with each water wall.
For larger water walls and dividing water walls it may be necessary to have a local General Contractor
install the water wall for you.
The waterfalls are designed to be mounted on walls having 16 inch stud spacing.
It is NOT possible to mount a waterfall directly onto drywall. If you have a different stud spacing, or are mounting
to a different material, please contact us to discuss. We can provide a custom frame to allow the waterfall to be mounted
to a wall consisting of something other than 16 inch stud spacing.
